5 Steps towards ACHIEVING your GOALS

Many of us have aspirations and goals that we dream of achieving. But, sometimes we struggle with how to get started and often get bogged down with life's distractions and/or the saboteur voices in our head that veer our focus away from realising them. Here are 5 easy steps that can help regain our focus and propel us towards the outcomes we desire:


Step 1 WRITE DOWN YOUR GOALS

By scribbling, writing, drawing or jotting down your goal, you begin the commitment of changing it from a mere DREAM to a REALITY.


Step 2 Make sure to have S.M.A.R.T. GOALS:


Specific

Measurable

Attainable

Realistic &

Time-oriented



Step 3 WORK THROUGH IT


• Break down Big goals into Smaller steps • Identify Obstacles & Look for Solutions around them • Don’t hesitate to seek Support



Step 4 MONITOR PROGRESS

Learn from Mistakes: What went Well & What can I do Better? Explore a Different Way Build upon your Strengths



Step 5 KEEP AT IT

• Celebrate the small wins • Stay Focused on the Prize • Never Give Up


Obviously, some of us may want to tweak the above approach to suit our own individual needs and circumstances. As long as we follow the main gist of these 5 steps, we can be sure that we can be well on our way to realising those goals we seek. Just please don't forget to enjoy and celebrate on the way there because the "journey" itself is just as important.
